Bermuda - appeal for artillery conservation expertise

St David’s Battery in Bermuda is probably unique in still having its original armament of 2 x 9.2 inch and 2 x 6 inch guns in position in their original emplacements. Unfortunately they are now in a very corroded condition and need conservation.

FSG and CDSG are working with the St George’s Foundation in Bermuda to try to find a solution. However, we lack the necessary metal conservation expertise and so we are appealing to members who may have or know of such expertise to please get in contact.
