Membership of the FSG is open to every individual or institution with an interest in the study, protection and preservation of all aspects of fortifications and their armaments. This starts with the introduction of artillery in the 1500’s through to the present day. Although based in the UK the interests and membership of FSG are worldwide.
Members will receive the one Fort and three Casemates published in the year following joining. Full Members receive printed copies of the publications, and the higher costs for memberships outside the UK simply reflect higher postage costs. Digital and Student memberships receive only digital copies of the publications but otherwise enjoy all of the benefits of full membership. Associate Membership is intended for the spouses, partners or children of members; they receive no publications but they may attend Study Tours and other FSG activities with the same rights as a Full Member.
