WORKSHOP DEFENCE HERITAGE FUTURE - CREATIVE CO-DESIGN FOR RESILIENT CONSERVATION
Are you an academic, researcher, professional, PhD, Specialisation and Master student who is interested in architectural heritage, conservation and design?
Join us in Portsmouth, the naval city, for an international and transdisciplinary conservation design workshop organised in collaboration between University of Portsmouth, University of Cagliari and Historic England. The workshop will engage you with the equivalent of 40 hours of activities that includes site visits, theoretical discussions and co-design studios. The work will be conducted on Fort Cumberland, one of England's most impressive pieces of 18th century defensive architecture. The workshop brings together academics, researchers, professionals, PhDs, Specialisation and Master students to work together on envisaging adaptive reuse and regeneration strategies for this significant defence heritage site.
This workshop is supported by Historic England and SIRA – the Italian Society for Architectural Conservation/Restoration.
Join us and be part of exploring how design as a Creative Act in Conservation can ensure balance between change and preservation, respect the heritage continuity and support the contemporary social and cultural value and vitality of the site through Interdisciplinary approaches, compatible use and sustainable strategies and interventions
You can download a flyer from the link below this box.
