The Fortress Study Group is very pleased to welcome today’s announcement by Thurrock Council that they have secured £ 236,500 lottery funding for the ‘Reanimating Coalhouse Fort’ Project.
This award follows letters of support from the Fortress Study Group and the Palmerston Forts Society together with extensive local support.
This funding creates the opportunity to create a sustainable and community focused future for this important Thames Fort.
